New Fishing Regulations

Effective January 1, 2022 the Ontario government introduced two new regulations which may affect your actions in and around the water.  Please click on the following links for further information:

  1. Sustainable Bait Management -  Learn about the actions Ontario has taken to reduce ecological risks caused by the use and movement of live bait (including leeches) across the province. Learn about your BMZ (Bait Management Zone) and your actions for those fishing with live bait outside the Zone of your primary residence.

  2. Controlling Invasive Species - as of January 1, 2022 Ontario has regulated watercraft (boats) as a carrier of invasive species under the "Invasive Species Act". Click on the following link to learn what you should do when moving your boat to and from various bodies of water.
