Elliot Lake Waterfront Owners Association

The Elliot Lake Waterfront Owners Association (ELWOA) is a non-profit, voluntary organization, which provides information, representation and assistance on issues that affect the interests of its members who are waterfront property owners within the city of Elliot Lake. Only members are entitled to representation and services from the association.

Working with the local City Council, provincial and federal agencies and numerous businesses and organizations, we have been successful in gaining a variety of improvements for waterfront property owners. ELWOA boasts over 125 members. We encourage you to join us.

Fibre Internet is Coming to the Waterfront: Action
We are thrilled to announce that the H&M COFI / ROCK Networks Project is bringing high-speed fibre internet directly to our local waterfront properties.
Timeline: Installation of the fibre network is scheduled for Summer and Fall 2026.
Your Role is Crucial: To ensure they can bring this high-speed service right to your property (local ISPs will handle the final in-home connection), they require your consent for access .

Action Needed: Please review the attached flyer immediately for detailed instructions on how to grant consent for access to your property.
Don't Delay: Granting consent now ensures your property is included in the initial installation phase for 2026.

Safety Bulletins

Fire bans are posted at the beginning of all roads leading to waterfront property by the local fire department. ELWOA will also post here and on Facebook. Keep your neighbours informed.

Fire Permit:
You are required to obtain a burn permit to burn outdoors from April 1 to October 31. Burn permits can now be obtained after April 1 online or at the local Fire Department for a nominal fee (CASH ONLY at the Fire Department). Don't burn without it! Click here for Burn Permits information.

Fire By-laws:
This link outlines the by-law that regulates the setting of open air fires and provides for the prevention of the spreading of fires within the Corporation of the City of Elliot Lake. NOTE: Chinese lanterns are now banned in the City of Elliot Lake.

Recycle bins are located on Stanrock and DSR for the use of waterfront owners. Please observe the recycling guidelines:
