Annual Photo Contest

What a great way for all of us to come together (online) and share our memories about what a great community we are!
All you have to do is snap a picture and send to [email protected] with your information.  No fuss, no muss.  Make sure you read all the details below.

After the contest closes, you’ll receive an email directing you to the ELWOA website where all the photo entries will be posted.  The executive will all vote on the winners in each category.

Eligibility:
The contest is open to all amateur photographers who are members-in-good-standing as of the 2022 AGM.  Bragging rights are up for grabs – so let's get started.

Contest Rules:  There are two age groups of photographers.
  • Adult (16 years and older)
  • Children (15 years of age and younger)

Adult:  Adults may enter a maximum of 1 photograph for each of the three photo categories:
  • Scenery
  • Wildlife (Fauna and Flora) and
  • People
Vertical Divider
Children:  There are no photo categories for children.  Children may submit a maximum of 3 photographs of their choice.
All photos must have been taken by the submitter and not previously published.  By submitting photos to the ELWOA Photo Contest, the photographer is giving ELWOA permission for their photo(s) and name to be published on our ELWOA website and in our newsletter the NewsFlash.

Photo Format:

All photos must be in digital format and their quality of resolution should not exceed a file size of 4MG. Photos that exceed 4MB will arbitrarily have their resolution reduced.  If you prefer to control how a higher resolution photo will look when it is reduced, then please do the reduction yourself before submitting.

Submission and Deadline:
  1. Send each photo entry as a separate email attachment to:  [email protected].
  2. State in your email the name of the photographer, lake address, telephone number, age group of the photographer (i.e. Child / Adult) and the category of the photo for Adult submissions.
The last day that entries are accepted will be July 31. (Submissions received after this date will be entered into the next year's AGM contest.)

Photo Winners 2021-22

Thank you to all who submitted photos this past year. We received submission in only 2 categories.  Any photos received after July 31, 2022 have been entered into the 2022-23 contest year.
