What a great way for all of us to come together (online) and share our memories about what a great community we are! Heather Brown (Dunlop) has agreed to be our advisor for this contest.
All you have to do is snap a picture and send to firstname.lastname@example.org with your information. No fuss, no muss. Make sure you read all the details below.
After the contest closes, you’ll receive an email directing you to the ELWOA website where all the photo entries will be posted. Then we will all vote via email on our choices for the winners in each category.
The contest is open to all amateur photographers who are members-in-good-standing as of the 2021 AGM. Bragging rights are up for grabs – so lets get started.
Contest Rules: There are two age groups of photographers.
Adult (16 years and older)
Children (15 years of age and younger)
Adult: There are three photo categories: Scenery, Wildlife and People. An Adult may enter a maximum of 1 photograph for each category.
Children: There are no photo categories for children. Children may submit a maximum of 3 photographs of their choice.
All photos must have been taken by the submitter and not previously published. By submitting photos to the ELWOA Photo Contest, the photographer is giving ELWOA permission for their photo(s) and name to be published on our ELWOA website and in our NewsFlash newsletter.
Photographer names will NOT be listed on the website until after the winners are officially announced. Non-winning photos will then be removed from the website.
All photos must be in digital format and their quality of resolution should not exceed a file size of 6MG. Photos that exceed 6MB will arbitrarily have their resolution reduced. If you prefer to control how a higher resolution photo will look when it is reduced, then please do the reduction yourself before submitting.
